Three persons were injured in a one-vehicle crash Sunday at 7:22 a.m. in Bowmanstown. State police at theLehighton barracks said Derek M. Hedmeck, 21, of Lehighton, was driving this 1997 Pontiac Sunfire east on Rt. 248 and was attempting to exit onto Rt. 895 when he failed to negotiate the ramp, traveled across the grass media and back onto the Rt. 248 eastbound onramp before striking the guard rail. The driver and two passengers, Allen W. Walck, 21, and Ryan J. Howard, 27, also of Lehighton, sustained minor injuries and were transported to the Palmerton Hospital in the Palmerton Ambulance. Hedmeck will be cited as a result of the crash, police said.
