The Rotary Club of Slatington annually awards a scholarship to two worthy students from Northwestern High School.

This year's recipients are Josue Murillo, who will be attending Shippensburg University, majoring in computer science, and Drake Pristash who will be attending Lehigh Carbon Community College for two years and transfer to Kutztown University to complete his studies in mathematics.Josue received the Alan M. Kush Rotary Memorial Scholarship and Drake received the Ronald Williams Memorial Scholarship. Both Kush and Williams were members of the Rotary Club of Slatington, and Williams served as the District 7430 governor for one year.Both graduated from Slatington High School, and Kush taught in the Northern Lehigh School District.For more information about the Rotary Club of Slatington, contact the Rev.
