A man broke his leg as the result of a parasailing incident that went awry over the weekend.

Rescuers arrived at 3:38 p.m. Saturday to help a parasailor, whose identity was unknown as of press time, after he sustained a broken leg and was over 100 feet down from the top of the mountain near Blue Mountain Ski Resort.The man caught an inversion, which flipped him over and caused him to go down about 150 to 200 feet over an embankment. He hit a tree, fell on some rocks, and broke his leg, according to Bill George, Aquashicola Volunteer Fire Company fire chief.Palmerton Community Ambulance also assisted at the scene, George said.Rescuers arrived to tend to the man as crews battled a raging brush fire in East Penn Township across from the East Penn Sporting Club.
