CARBON:39.66 percent of the 40,165 eligible voters reported to the county's 51 election districts to cast their ballots.

Republican Donald J. Trump continued his seemingly unstoppable momentum, winning the favor of county Republicans with 72.44 percent of the vote. Trump had 5,977 votes, with 1,410 for Ted Cruz and 693 for John R. Kasich.Unlike the state numbers, Bernie Sanders nudged Hillary Clinton by a little more than a percentage point in Carbon, 48.39 to 47.20 percent. Sanders had 3, 418 votes, compared to 3,334 for Clinton.SCHUYLKILL:Republican voters in Schuylkill County went big for Trump, following the lead of GOP voters across the state. On the Democratic side Clinton won the county but her race was much closer.Trump finished with 16,800 votes, well ahead of his other two challengers, Cruz, who got 3,083 votes, and Kasich with 2,342. Three other candidates, who have since dropped out of the race, remained on the ballot and received token votes.Clinton defeated Sanders by over 11 percentage points statewide but in Schuylkill it was much closer. Clinton won with 6,533 votes to 6,040 for Sanders. The other candidate on the ballot, Roque De La Fuente got 164 votes.MONROE:Trump was the winner with 10,016 votes, stomping Ted Cruz, who had 2,433 votes and Kasich with 1,701 votes.On the Democratic ticket, Clinton had 7,901 votes, edging Sanders with 6,795 votes.LEHIGH: On the Democratic ballot,Clinton had 19,466 votes, with Sanders garnering 17,550 votes.On the Republican ticket, Trump won with 20,553, with Ted Cruz getting 8,661 votes and Kasich, 6,937.NORTHAMPTON:Clinton brought in 18,075 votes. Sanders had 16,925.Trump grabbed 19,659 votes. Cruz had 7,007 and Kasich was third with 5,006.*All vote totals are unofficial.
