John Waller, a native of Atlanta, Ga., will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. May 18 at Bethany Wesleyan Church, 675 Blue Mountain Drive, Cherryville.

In the late 1990s, Waller was lead vocalist for the band, "According to John." His music was played on CNN during the funerals of two victims of the Columbine shooting in 1999.Waller now has a solo career. His songs appear in the films "Fireproof" and "Courageous."His music also can be viewed on YouTube and four of his songs have over a million viewers.Waller also recently came out with a new song called the "Orphan Song," which has garnered over 43,000 view over the past two months.For more information call 610-381-7221.
