Woman, 93, dies hours after pickup hits house near Philly

LEVITTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Police say they are talking to a male in the crash of a pickup truck into a suburban Philadelphia home that was followed a few hours later by the death of an elderly woman inside the home.

Authorities in Bucks County said the red pickup truck hit the southwest corner of the Bristol Township home, causing heavy damage, shortly after 2:30 a.m. Friday.

Police said 93-year-old Jenny Russo, a hospice patient, was lying in bed near the point of impact and died a few hours later.

Interim police chief Ralph Johnson said a damaged truck located Friday afternoon in Bristol matched parts from the crash.

He said a male suspected to have been the driver turned himself in at a nearby gas station and is being interviewed at police headquarters.
