State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating an incident where a truck caught fire.

Troopers said Noel A. Santiago, 22, of Kunkletown, was driving a 1988 Dodge Dakota truck northbound on SR209 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, about 4:50 a.m. on April 24, when a fire started under the hood of the vehicle.Santiago pulled to the side of the road and exited without injury. The fire completely destroyed the truck, troopers said. West End Fire Company volunteers responded to extinguish the blaze.
