The engagement of Amanda Sauchinitz, Wilmington, N.C. to Anthony Pacheaco of Camp Lejeune, N.C., has been announced by the couple.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Bettyanne Sauchinitz of Bowmanstown, and Stephen and Tina Sauchinitz of Lehighton.She is also the granddaughter of Betty Sauchinitz of Lehighton and Patricia Ahner of Bowmanstown.She is a 2003 graduate of Lehighton Area High School. In 2009 she received a bachelor's degree in special and elementary education from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. She is employed as an associate professional by Pride in North Carolina in Wilmington.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Steven and Leah Pacheaco of Huntingdon, Pa. He is a 2003 graduate of Huntingdon Area High School and a 2004 graduate of Wyotech.He is currently serving in the United States Marine Corps, stationed at Camp Lejeune.The couple is planning a wedding for May 3, 2014.
