November 18, 1944 Nesquehoning scores three touchdowns in the opening quarter and cruises to a 32-7 victory over West Hazleton. Joe Fedock runs for one score and throws for another in the big win. Fedock reaches the end zone from six yards out and also tosses a 40-yard scoring strike to Sterzen. "Jake" Maurer adds a one-yard TD run and his fumble recovery sets up one of the Nesquers' scores. The winners, coached by Tony Mezza, also receive touchdown runs from Bob Drigan and Frankie Fabian.
