A Barnesville man is facing charges following an accident on June 14 in Rush Township.

Police were dispatched to Bernhard Road at 4:30 a.m. for a motor vehicle accident. The driver had left the scene. As officers were investigating, Kathleen Stewart of Barnesville, arrived and claimed to be the vehicle's operator.Following an investigation officers determined the driver had actually been Stewart's son, Michael J. Stewart. 30, who does not have a valid operator's license. Charges will include leaving the scene of an accident.
