Heffley happy Corbett's proposal targets human services programs

State Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) Tuesday released the following statement regarding Gov. Tom Corbett's 2013-14 budget proposal:

"Despite the fiscal challenges continuing to face state governments across the nation, I was happy to see that the governor's $28.44 billion budget proposal invests more funding into our human services programs so that they are more efficient and better able to provide the services upon which our most vulnerable citizens rely on."I also applaud the governor for including several proposals which could help return jobs to our Commonwealth, which is what our state needs to get back on the road to economic recovery. It's important for people to remember that the budget proposal is just a starting point for my colleagues and me to start discussions, and the final budget will be the product of ideas and input from the governor and the Legislature after various budget hearings are held."
