Ross Township adopts 2014 proposed budget

Ross Township supervisors have adopted the proposed budget for 2014.

The budget anticipates spending $725,900.Anticipated revenues include $641,000 from taxes, $300 from licenses and permits, $1,025 from fines and forfeits, $100 from intergovernmental revenue, $45,900 from charges for services, and $1,000 in miscellaneous revenue.Supervisors plan to spend $219,950 for general government, $186,100 for public safety, $12,000 for sanitation, $271,050 for streets, $18,900 for recreation, and miscellaneous expenditures, $18,000.The proposed budget is also available for inspection at the township office, 258 Anchorage Road, Saylorsburg, during regular business hours.Township supervisors intend to adopt the budget at a special meeting for this purpose scheduled for 4 p.m. Dec. 23, which will be held at the township building, 258 Anchorage Road, Saylorsburg.
