Two dog complaints

McAdoo Police have dealt with two dog complaints in the last few days.

On April 9, officers were dispatched to Kennedy and Blaine Street for a report of a dog struck by a vehicle. The dog's owner was identified as Barbara Depuy, 23 S. Kennedy Dr. A neighbor had been attempting to find the dog's owner after it was found running loose, when the animal ran out into traffic. After it was struck, the dog bit the hand of a Good Samaritan who had stopped to help.Depuy and some friends took the dog home and told police she would provide them with the dog's paperwork concerning a license and medical records. She was cited for not confining her dog.On April 16, officers were dispatched to 107 S. Sheridan St. for a dog running loose. On scene, they observed a pit bull that was owned by Brandy Darrow and Victor Craig. The animal had violently attacked another dog and went after several women and children who had to jump into the bed of a pick up truck to escape injury.This was the fourth reported incident involving the dog in less than a year. Darrow and Craig were cited for harboring a dangerous dog, for failing to confine the animal, for failure to get the dog licensed or inoculated against rabies.
