Tamaqua Police are investigating a burglary that was reported to the department on Feb. 25.

Amanda Hofstetter, 25, of 224 Green St., Tamaqua, reported that someone entered her home between the hours of 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24 and 1 a.m. on Feb. 25 and removed several items. The missing items included an Xbox 360, a Toshiba television and $2500 in cash.A window in the basement door was broken in order to gain access. Once inside, the actor(s) also removed clothing from a closet and a purse had been riffled through. Officers recovered the television, which was left a short distance from the basement door.Anyone with information may contact police at (570) 668-6100.
