West Penn Township police officer Jason Lorah directs traffic around a disabled tractor trailer late Wednesday afternoon along SR443 near the intersection with Mountian Road. The incident began just before 6 p.m. as the operator was attempting to pull from a private lot onto SR443 east. The rig bottomed out along the berm of the roadway blocking traffic for an hour. Some cars and light trucks were able to travel along the grassy berm, larger trucks just had to wait it out. The rig was finally freed by a heavy wrecker of Soley Towing.
