Eleven Carbon County young men will leave from the Lehigh Valley Railroad train depot in Mauch Chunk for Wilkes-Barre, where they will be inducted into the U.S. Army. They are Robert W. Cunliffe, Francis J. Furey, Lansford; Allan H. Ardman, Weatherly; Jose Ramon Hernandez, Edwin C. Frantz Jr., Lehighton; Walter A. Kannapel, Milton E. Suchon, Palmerton; Robert Maguschak Francis Zelenak, Beaver Meadows; and John R. Emanuel, John Glovatsky, Nesquehoning.
