Lehighton and Northwestern picked up scholastic golf victories on Wednesday.

Tyler Hoppes had the team's other goal and an assist.Moravian-N'westernMoravian Academy blanked Northwestern, 4-0, in Colonial League action.NW actually outshot its opponent, 8-6 in the game.No. Dame -PalmertonThe Crusaders, clinging to a 1-0 lead at the break, blew up for six goals in the second half against host Palmerton to down the Blue Bombers, 7-0, in Colonial League action.NDGP outshot the Bombers 13-2 in the game that saw Cody Seigley and Brett Snyder both stop three shots in the Bomber goal.GIRLS SOCCERPottsville-TamaquaTamaqua's Kayla Hope scored on a penalty kick about eight minutes into the contest, which proved to be the game-winner, as the Lady Raiders pulled out a 1-0 Schuylkill League triumph over Pottsville.Chey Bates stopped 13 shots on goal for her fifth shutout in six games, helping her team to a 6-0 record overall, 3-0 in the league.Jim Thorpe-Blue Mt.Blue Mountain scored three times in the second half to break open a close game and went on to beat Jim Thorpe, 4-0, in Schuylkill League action.Jim Thorpe goalie Alyssa Smith had 20 saves.CROSS COUNTRYNativity BVM-Pine Grove-TamaquaThe Blue Raiders had a great day on their own course yesterday, downing both Nativity BVM and Pine Grove on both the girls' and boys' sides.The Lady Raiders topped Nativity, 15-50 and the Cardinals, 15-46, while the THS boys defeated Nativity 24-37 and PG 25-35.Individually, Amber Carroll was the best in the girls race, and was followed directly by four other Tamaqua runners.
