The St. Jerome Regional School, Tamaqua, MATHCOUNTS team captured 2nd place in the Anthracite Chapter Math Counts competition held on Saturday, Feb. 12 at Penn State Schuylkill. Eleven area schools were in the contest. MATHCOUNTS is a national middle school competitive mathematics program that promotes mathematics achievement. It is designed to increase enthusiasm for and enhance achievement in middle school mathematics.
