The First United Methodist Church in Tamaqua recently recognized a 50-year member Bob Evans, 87, as well as presented scholarships to two of their younger members, Elise and AJ Argall, who are currently attending college. Special acknowledgments were also given to Steven Christ, a Tamaqua graduate who will be attending Lebanon Valley College, and Caitlin Metzger, 17, who will be taking a mission trip to Kentucky next week with other members of Tamaqua Youth Ministries.
