Pictured outside the tunnel to the No. 9 Mine in Lansford are from left, Mandy Reightler, her daughter Autumn Swartz, 4, and mother Carol Reigel during the Coal Miner's Festival held last Sunday at the No. 9 Mine and Museum. Mandy's first tour through a mine was an emotional experience since her late father, Dale Reightler, who had worked in the mines since high school, died in a methane blast inside the R & D Coal Company mine in Tremont on October 23, 2006. Mandy, with support of her family, said she was glad she had the courage to take the No. 9 mine tour.
