Miss Judith Berner R.N., daughter of Mrs. Ethel Berner of Tamaqua, set sail today on the hospital ship S.S. Hope bound for the West Indies. As the ship's assistant chief nurse, eight volunteers from Pennsylvania will participate in a 10-month medical teaching mission, the first phase of the Project Hope's recently announced three-year hemispheric program. The ship is scheduled to arrive in Kingston, Jamaica in the middle of January.
