West Penn Elementary School displays sweet gingerbread creations

Twelve kindergarten to 5th grade classes from the West Penn Elementary School, consisting of students and teachers, had the opportunity to come together to create their class's own gingerbread house box creations. Each class started with a box. From then on, students brainstormed with their teachers to use their combined imaginations to make their one-of-a-kind gingerbread creations. Some of the gingerbread houses were also based on themes, such as dog house, Phillies clubhouse and baseball stadium, candy, family, beach house, and more. Many of the houses also had tiny photos of each student incorporated into the project. The project wasn't done as a contest, as each gingerbread box house possessed its own artistic, sweet and creative characteristics.
