State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said Renee Gibas, 39, of New Philadelphia, is facing retail theft charges after she was caught shoplifting on Dec. 24 at 3:41 p.m. at Super Shoes in the Fairlane Village Mall, Pottsville.

Police said she left the store without paying for a pair of duck boots valued at $69.99.Police said store employees witnessed Gibas placing the boots into a bag and leaving the store before they apprehended her.
