Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford, recently held its first annual mini-golf tournament at Heislers Golf Course in Tamaqua . Over 60 participants, making up more than 15 foursomes, competed for prizes including low score as a team and the low score for both males and females in categories for Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. In addition, 15 certificates for free ice cream cones were awarded for holes-in-one and other ahletic accomplishments. The winners were Joshua, Julia and Joanne Jurick and Jakub Kantyka for lowest foursome score. Winners by class were David Richards (Male Kindergarten through 2nd grade), Mason Sterner (Male 3rd/4th grade), Tatianna Zeleniak (Female 3rd/4th grade), Keith McCall (Male 5th/6th grade), Natatia Richards (Female 5th/6th grade), Zach Gilbert (Male 7th/8th grade) and Hanna Dowd (Female 7th/8th grade). The weather was perfect and players were already looking forward to next year's tournament and promised to get a head start practicing for next year.
