Students who misbehave on Lehighton school buses can expect to be dealt with quickly and severely, according to school superintendent Dr. Shirley D. Ball. A number of recent incident have prompted the administration to forewarn parents via letter that any infraction will not be tolerated. "This is an extremely serious problem that is not to be taken lightly," said Dr. Ball. She said in one incident, a bus driver had lost control of her student riders and had been reduced almost to tears by their rowdy behavior. The unruly passengers were elementary students.
