Freight cars of the Lehigh Valley Railroad involved recently in a wreck near Mud Run will be removed from the Lehigh River, the Carbon County Planning Commission was asured. The cars that were pushed into the river in order to clear the railroad right of way are being cut, it was explained, and are expected to be removed by next month. The commission was not informed if the contents of the cars, which reportedly is polluting the river in the area of the wreck, will also be removed.
