OLOA open house
Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford, will hold an Open House/Information Night on Monday, March 15, from 6-8 p.m. in the school, 123 E. Water St.
This is an opportunity for parents to learn more about a school that features a small-class, family-oriented atmosphere in a Christian environment. Ideas on various ways to make tuition affordable to families will be shared.
OLOA is a pre-kindergarten to eighth-grade program accredited by the Middle States Association Commission on Elementary Schools. Families of all faiths are welcome to join the OLOA family.
Registration for the 2010-11 school year is currently under way. Admission requirements are that a child must be 5 years of age by Oct. 15 to attend kindergarten, or 6 years of age by the same date for first grade. Immunization records are required, as are baptismal certificates (if Catholic/Christian) and custody papers for separated parents.

A workshop sponsored by the Diocese of Allentown, "Protecting All God's Children," will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, at Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford.
This is a mandated workshop for anyone who has contact with our youth today in any capacity coaches, teachers, volunteers, etc. Persons interested in attending should call the school office, (570) 645-7101.
The schedule for the Coaldale/Summit Hill United Methodist Charge for Sunday, March 14, is as follows:
Worship services will be held at 9 a.m. in the Summit Hill United Methodist Church and at 11 a.m. in the Coaldale United Methodist Church. The Rev. Burgess Gordon, pastor, will preside at both services.
The adult Sunday school will meet at 9:45 a.m. in the Coaldale church.
The schedule for the Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church, Summit Hill, for Sunday, March 14 is as follows:
Junior choir, 8:45 a.m.; adult Bible class, 9 a.m.; Sunday school, 9:15 a.m. and worship service, 10:30 a.m. Child care will be provided.
First Congregational Church
Morning worship will be conducted at First Congregational Church at 9 a.m. Sunday, March 13, followed at 10 a.m. by Sunday School.
Other activities include Lenten service at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, followed by choir rehearsal.
On Sunday, March 21, Morning Worship will be held at 9 a.m. and Sunday School at 10 a.m.
