Fees on the Pennsylvania Turnpike are rising effective Jan. 1, 2011.
Tolls for cash customers will rise by 10 percent while individuals using the E-ZPass transponders will rise three percent.
This means E-ZPass customers will be paying lower fares than cash customers.
Also on Jan. 1, the fees for transponders will increase from $3 each to $6 each.
The Turnpike Commission said this is the first such increase since E-ZPass was implemented on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in December 2000.
