A recount has confirmed that Daniel A. Pinkey, a Rush Township Democrat, scored an upset victory in his bid for a supervisors post. In the vote recount, Pinkey retained a lead of 17 votes over his opponent, incumbent supervisor Clarence Hartranft, a Republican. Hartranft, who had been declared the unofficial winner by 10 votes on election night, had petitioned to have the vote recounted for the township's West District.
