State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said a Pine Grove woman, who was text messaging while driving, crashed her vehicle on Friday at 11:30 p.m. on SR183 in Wayne Township, Schuylkill County.

Police said Nicole L. Fisher, 22, sustained minor injuries in the crash.Police said she was driving a 2006 Hyundai Elantra northbound and became distracted while texting on her cell phone, at which time the vehicle traveled off the northbound shoulder of the road. Police said Fisher tried to regain control of the car, over-corrected and slid 135 feet across both lanes, striking an embankment on the southbound lane. Upon impact, the vehicle briefly traveled along the embankment and rolled over, sliding on its roof for about 32 feet before coming to rest.Police said Fisher will be cited for careless driving and other summary traffic offenses as a result of the crash.
