Supper & auction
Zion Lutheran Church, Brodheadsville, is hosting a spaghetti supper and silent auction from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday. The menu includes homemade meatballs, spaghetti, salad, bread, drinks and a selection of homemade desserts. There will be Christmas items and more.
The bid drawing will begin at 6 p.m.

Proceeds of the dinner and auction will further the ministries of Zion United Lutheran Church.
The West End Democrats Club holiday party will be held Saturday beginning at 6 p.m. at the West End Fire House on Route 715 in Brodheadsville.
There will be food, musical entertainment by Roy Ramos, gifts brought by attendees and a free wine tasting. Donations of small gifts are appreciated.
There is a cost for adults and children ages 6 to 12. It is free for children of attendees under the age of 6.

The Sons of the American Legion will have its monthly meeting at 11 a.m. Sunday at the West End Memorial America Legion Post 927 in Gilbert.
A craft and vendor fair is slated to take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Pleasant Valley High School.
It is time for the 12th annual Advent by Candlelight ceremony at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Gilbert.
All the women of the parish are invited to the annual event on Sunday beginning at 5 p.m. for an evening of prayer, witness and fellowship. If a woman would like to attend or host a table, contact Marge McCauley at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The music ministry will be providing the music for this year’s Advent by Candlelight evening, instead of the Lessons and Carols ceremony.
All members of the parish, men and women, are invited to attend the program held in the church at 6:15 p.m.
Those who wish to attend the program only are asked to enter through the church doors by 6:15 p.m.
There is no need to RSVP if one is attending the program only.
The last available appointment to sign up for Toys for Tots distribution at the Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network is Monday. All participants must preregister to participate in the program.

The Ross Township Board of Supervisors is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the municipal building in Saylorsburg.

At 7 p.m. Dec. 5, a Vocations Prayer Service is being held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church for those contemplating or feeling being called to the priesthood, diaconate, religious life and lay ministry, which are essential in the church’s mission of spreading the joy and love of Jesus Christ.
The Eldred Township Board of Supervisors will meet at 7 p.m. Dec. 5, at the municipal building in Kunkletown.
NYC Christmas show
The West End Park and Open Space Commission is sponsoring a bus trip to Radio City Music Hall for the Christmas Spectacular at 2 p.m. Dec. 6.
The bus departs at 8 a.m. from Chestnuthill Park in Brodheadsville and returns at 7 p.m.

Polk tree lighting
Community Tree Lighting in Polk Township at the Veterans Memorial Park will be held at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 9. Community groups are asked to donate an ornament to display on the trees.
