Weissport council took the following actions at the meeting on Monday:

• Approved a request from Police Chief Brent Getz to purchase narcotics identification kits to test for methamphetamine at a cost of $25.50.

• Agreed to speak to the borough engineer regarding possible replacement of the municipal building roof. Funding for roof replacement would be covered by the community block development grant program.

• Requested more information from secretary/treasurer Bill Donovan regarding the Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance program and potential impact on borough finances. Discussion will take place at the next meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. March 18.
