Hannah Stefansky, of Weatherly, received the $3,000 Pennsylvania Masonic Youth Foundation Scholarship recently.

The foundation is a charitable extension of the Right Worshipful Grand Lodge of the Most Ancient and Honorable Fraternity of Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania.

This year 52 scholarships, totaling more than $188,000, were presented to young people with a Masonic relative, or who are members of a Masonic-sponsored youth group.

Hannah is eligible as the daughter of Thomas Stefansky, a member of Mahanoy City Lodge No. 357. She was selected from 125 applicants for this scholarship.

Robert J. Neff, District Deputy Grand Master representing the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, presented the check and a certificate at Mahanoy City Lodge in Hometown. Hannah will be attending Temple University as a freshman with a major in finance. She graduated from Weatherly Area High School in 2019.
