$825 million Powerball jackpot set for Saturday’s drawing

The Powerball® jackpot is now offering an estimated annuity value of $825 million, or $410.2 million cash, for the next drawing on Saturday.

“If the jackpot is won on Saturday, it will be the second-largest prize awarded in Powerball’s 30-year history and 5th largest in U.S. lottery history,” said Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko. “We’re reminding our players to play responsibly and that it only takes one ticket to have a chance to win this life-changing jackpot.”

This is the largest the Powerball jackpot has been all year and only the second time in the history of the game that the jackpot has reached $800 million. The last time the Powerball® jackpot was above $800 million was in the Jan. 13, 2016, drawing, when tickets from California, Florida, and Tennessee shared a $1.586 billion jackpot.

Additionally, the last time a Powerball® jackpot was won in Pennsylvania was Aug. 3, 2022. In Pennsylvania, this recent jackpot run has generated $62.9 million in sales, creating a profit of $25.1 million to benefit older Pennsylvanians.

If there is no Powerball® winner in Saturday’s drawing, the jackpot for the Monday, Monday drawing will be an estimated $1 billion, or $497.3 million cash.

Pennsylvania Lottery players have options to purchase their Powerball tickets online or by visiting a retailer. Players can find lottery-selling locations closest to them by visiting the Find a Retailer section of the Lottery’s website.
