693 new COVID-19 cases, bringing Pa. total to 127,633

The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported Friday that there are 693 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 127,633.

There are 7,558 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 20 new deaths reported. County-specific information and a statewide map are available on the COVID-19 Data Dashboard.

In nursing and personal care homes, there are 20,594 resident cases of COVID-19, and 4,336 cases among employees, for a total of 24,930 at 910 distinct facilities in 61 counties. Out of our total deaths, 5,121 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities. A county breakdown can be found here.

Approximately 9,203 of our total cases are among health care workers.

Carbon County remained level with 411 cases and 28 deaths.

Lehigh County had nine new cases for a total of 5,103, with 342 deaths.

In Luzerne County, 15 new cases were reported for a total of 3,666, with 185 deaths.

Monroe County reported seven more cases, bringing the total to 1,686 cases. Two additional deaths were reported for a total of 127.

Northampton had 4,049 cases, an increase of 13 cases. There are 296 deaths.

Schuylkill County reported one new case, bringing the total to 962 cases, with 51 deaths.
