$325,000 is still out there Lottery ticket sold in Hometown

Did you purchase a Cash 5 lottery ticket early last month from the My Hometown Mini Mart? If so, you might want to double-check your Cash 5 lottery tickets for Sunday, March 10.

According to a representative at the Pennsylvania State Lottery, as of Thursday evening, no one has claimed the winning Cash 5 jackpot for that day.She added that the winning ticket correctly matched all five balls, 03-06-15-27-29, to win a jackpot of $325,000, less 25 percent federal withholding.An employee at the store said that March 10 was especially busy at the mini mart due to people traveling by on their way to the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Jim Thorpe.The retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.The Lottery cannot confirm the identity of the winner until the prize is claimed and the ticket is validated. They add that Cash 5 winners, which are posted on their website, have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.The Lottery also provided procedures for someone to claim their Cash 5 prize. The holder of the winning ticket should sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at (717) 702-8146, and file a claim at any of Lottery's seven area offices or at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County.Claims may be filed Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at area offices and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at headquarters.In addition to awarding more than $39.6 million in prizes to Schuylkill County winners, the Pennsylvania Lottery contributed more than $19 million to programs serving the county's older residents in the 2011-12 fiscal year.How to play Cash 5: To play Cash 5, players pay $1 and select five numbers from 1 to 43. Players may select their own numbers using a Cash 5 playslip, or they may opt for computer-selected quick picks. Players must match all five numbers drawn to win the jackpot. Players also win prizes for matching two, three or four winning numbers. Cash 5 drawings are held seven nights a week, and tickets can be purchased up to seven draws (one week) in advance.
