Carbon County has a total of 33,218 eligible voters, 18,696 Democrats and 14,522 Republicans, Director of Elections Lisa R. Dart told county commissioners at a meeting Thursday of the Election Board.

Also, the election bureau approved a number of people to work the May 21 Primary elections.Serving as clerks are Carol Badman, Bowmanstown (6th); John Gimbor, Kidder South (21st); Sharon Fronheiser, Lehighton Second (29th); Suzette Kurtz, Lehighton Third (30th); Jamie Holminski, Lehighton Third (30th); and Jack Scott, Palmerton East (47th). Donna Trimmel was hired as Judge of Election for Nesquehoning East (41st).
