Rummage Sale

St. John’s Lutheran Church is holding a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 8 and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 9. Lunch and supper will be available for purchase both days. Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., is bag day. Donations are being accepted. No computers, encyclopedias, TVs or magazines will be accepted.

Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday at Zion Church Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:15 a.m.

This is Holy Grounds Sunday, the fifth Sunday of the month. Coffee and pastries will be available before the service.

An all church prayer meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 2. Guild meets at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 3.

Volunteers are needed for apple tart making at 9 a.m. on Oct. 4.

The turkey and waffle dinner is from 4 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 5 at the social hall.

Calvary Lewistown

The Rev. Susan Moore will officiate at the 10:25 a.m. service this Sunday in Calvary Evangelical Methodist Church in the Lewistown Valley. Sunday school classes are held at 9:15 a.m. Evening praise and Bible study at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday prayer service at 7 p.m.

Oct. 13 will be Sunday school Rally Day with a special musical presentation at 6:30 p.m. by Piercing Word of Lancaster.

Zion Lutheran

Zion Lutheran Church, Mauch Chunk and Greenwood, is now accepting donations of items for its October rummage sale. All gently used items, with the exception of televisions and computer monitors, will be greatly appreciated.
