A Tamaqua man who is on the Megan’s Law list as a registered sex offender was back in court on March 19 for a preliminary hearing in a second sexual assault case.

Craig A. York

, 34, of Tamaqua, waived all of the charges to the Schuylkill County Court of Common Pleas. York, who completed a 10-year stint in prison early in 2018, was charged with forcible rape by compulsion, statutory sexual assault, indecent deviate sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion, indecent deviate sexual intercourse with a person younger than 16, two counts each of indecent assault without consent and indecent assault of a person younger than 16, indecent exposure, corruption of minors and reckless endangerment. The charges were filed by Tamaqua Police Cpl. Thomas Rodgers in connection with a June 30 case.

York was able to post the imposed $100,000 bail through a bail bond company.

Other cases scheduled before Judge Bayer on March 19 included four people who elected to avoid the courtroom. Warrants have been issued for their arrests, and all of the charges were bound over for county court trial.

Stephen Joseph Orlando

, 27, of Drums and Amy Jean Fayock, 38, of Shenandoah, were both scheduled to be in court to answer to charges from a retail theft case from Feb. 26. Both face charges of retail theft, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft, which were filed by Rush Township patrolman Bradley Hess.

Bail was originally set at $25,000 unsecured for each of them.

Ursula Loch

, 59, of Tamaqua, was due in court to answer to charges of retail theft and receiving stolen property. Tamaqua patrolman Michael Weaver field the charges after a Feb. 18 theft.

Scott Hampton

, 44, of Tamaqua, was charged with resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without rear lights. The charges were filed by Tamaqua patrolman Ryan Oldt in connection with a Jan. 6 traffic stop.

Four people charged with identity fraud by Kline Township patrolman Justin Farley also waived their preliminary hearings.

Deivis Rosario Fernandez, 39, of Hazleton; Andy De Jesus Rosario, 19, of West Hazleton; Daifrel Pena, 24, of West Hazleton; and Andy Concepcion

, 20, of West Hazleton, were all charged with multiple counts of identity theft, possession of an altered access device, receiving stolen property, retail theft and a single count of conspiracy to commit identity theft in connection with a Dec. 1, 2018, case.

Pena and Concepcion were also charged with driving with a suspended license.

All four were released on their own recognizance.

Jerry Feathers

, 38, of Tamaqua, had his bail reduced at his hearing on charges of simple assault and harassment. The charges were filed by Tamaqua patrolman Anthony Stanell after a March 8 domestic assault.

Bail was reduced from $10,000 to $1.
