That motto is evident through a new partnership between two area insurance agencies that will bring more insurance options to the residents of Carbon County.

Mark Sverchek and Jeff and Donna Spotts recently announced their partnership at the Summit Hill office that Sverchek has grown over the past two decades.

“I have gotten to know Jeff well over the last few years attending different Nationwide meetings,” Sverchek said, adding he knew Donna from his time in the banking industry. “When the opportunity came up in Nationwide to do partnerships between agencies, we felt it was a natural fit because of our backgrounds, where our offices are located, our client base and our philosophies on client service, which is very important to all of us.”

“We know relationships with people are really important,” Jeff Spotts said. “We like the small-town feel because we grew up here.”

Jeff and Donna both grew up in Schuylkill County, while Sverchek is a native of Carbon County.

The new Spotts-Sverchek Insurance Agency, located at 41 W. Ludlow St., looks the same to the average person looking to purchase insurance — with the exception of the change in the sign outside the building that will soon share the two partners’ names — but will now provide expanded service options to best serve a person’s needs.

Jeff Spotts said that in addition to the various personal insurances — home, auto, motorcycle, RV, etc. — that Nationwide offers, the new partnership will expand options for business insurances, financial services, retirement planning, Medicare supplement insurance and more.

“There isn’t much that someone could need that we couldn’t help them with,” Jeff said. “It’s a one-stop shop.”

Sverchek said that one of the benefits with this partnership for him will be the additional services he can now provide because various specialists already in the Spotts Insurance Group, which already has offices in Berks, Schuylkill and Chester counties, are just a phone call away.

“He has a resource now,” Donna Spotts said.

The trio said the Summit Hill office will remain at its current location and is looking forward to building a stronger partnership between Nationwide, the residents and the community.

“It is a partnership to better serve you,” Donna said, adding that they are looking forward to serving the community.

Two years ago, Spotts Insurance Group was recognized as one of six Nationwide insurance agencies in the country for their efforts at giving back to the communities their offices were in.

“We really like to emphasize the community aspect,” Donna said. “We want to make sure the people are committed to their communities. Mark has a lot of involvement already (Summit Hill Lions, Summit Hill Memorial Day Parade Committee, Lansford Alive, Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corp.) It’s really important. We want to make sure we support the community.”
