State police investigate social media threat to Pleasant Valley
The Pennsylvania State Police are currently investigating a social media threat recently received by a Pleasant Valley Middle School student.
The Pleasant Valley Superintendent Dave Piperato said in a call to Pleasant Valley parents, the person issuing the threat is not known to the student, and the threat did not specifically name the Pleasant Valley School District or Pleasant Valley Middle School. Although there is no reason to believe that the threat is credible, added security measures will be in place on Friday.
Because the threat was specific to Friday, Pennsylvania State Police will be present on campus and the Pleasant Valley School District police and administration will be employing enhanced safety protocols.
The investigation is ongoing and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
