Showers, thunderstorms likely tonight

Showers and thunderstorms will bring locally heavy rainfall to our region from late this afternoon into tonight. There may be some flooding of roadways and areas of poor drainage, along with minor flooding on some small streams and creeks.

Here’s the latest forecast:

Today: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Southwest wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before midnight. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Patchy fog after 10 p.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 3 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. West wind 5 to 8 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
