State police at Lehighton are investigating a sexual assault that occurred in the borough of Weissport.

Troopers said a 16-year-old boy from Weissport forced a 16-year-old girl from the borough to engage in sexual acts while parked in his vehicle. The incident reportedly occurred on Oct. 19 between 2:45 and 4 p.m.

The investigation is continuing.
