Schuylkill thefts

The following thefts were reported:

• State police at Frackville are investigating a theft from a vehicle.

A 57-year-old New Ringgold man reported on Oct. 30 that his 2015 Toyocar van container trailer was entered while parked in a lot at state game lands along Indian Run/Pine Valley roads in East Brunswick Township, Schuylkill County.

The suspects used a key left in the bed of the pickup to unlock the door. Removed was a wallet and Zeiss brand binoculars and cash. The binoculars are valued at $1,000, the wallet at $10 and estimated cash taken at about $100. The incident occurred sometime between 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Oct. 30. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.

• State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of propane tanks from a Schuylkill County business.

Troopers said several propane tanks for a forklift were removed from a locked cage behind Harbour Freight, 7102 Fairlane Village Mall, Norwegian Township. The tanks are valued at $400. The theft was reported at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

• State police at Frackville are investigating a theft of $1,400 in items taken from a car.

Troopers said sometime between 10 p.m. Sunday and 5:20 a.m. on Monday a vehicle was entered while parked on Grove Street in Kline Township. A window was smashed to gain entry.

Taken from the vehicle was $1,280 in cash and various items including sneakers, iPhone cable, money order, Apple iPad in a pink case, purse, wallet, makeup pieces, and gold chain with a gold pendant. Also taken was personal items including the victim’s birth certificate and three credit cards.

Total value of the missing items was estimated at $1,428 with $200 in damages to the vehicle. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
