Schuylkill County court

A New Philadelphia man charges in three cases of defiant trespass was sentenced to prison, but was released on immediate parole.

Robert J. Matlock Jr.,

42, was charged by Tamaqua police with trespassing on Aug. 15, 2017; Sept. 17, 2017; and March 17, 2018.

Matlock pleaded guilty before Schuylkill County Judge John E. Domalakes.

A charge of criminal mischief was dropped in plea negotiations.

Domalakes sentenced him to time served to a total of 12 months in jail, but granted him immediate parole and 12 months on probation.

Domalakes ordered Matlock to have no contact with the victim and to pay court costs and fees.

County judges also ruled in other cases involving people either living in the Times News coverage area or charged by local police.

Kelsey A. Anderson,

25, of Tamaqua, was charged by Pottsville police with committing theft on Feb. 28, 2018.

She pleaded guilty to theft and conspiracy, with a charge of receiving stolen property being dropped in plea negotiations.

Domalakes sentenced her to 13 days to 23 months in jail on the theft charge, and six months on probation on the conspiracy charge.

She was released after serving the minimum time.

Angelina M. Fisher,

25, of Tamaqua, was charged by borough police with assault and harassment on Dec. 18, 2017.

She pleaded guilty on Sept. 12 to assault; the harassment charge was dropped.

Domalakes sentenced her to time she had already served to 23 months in jail, with immediate parole.

But she violated the terms of her parole, and Domalakes revoked her parole. He gave her no credit for her 61 days at liberty, adding those days to her maximum time. That means the earliest she will be released is May 2, 2019.

He also ordered her to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation, and follow any recommendations.

Andrew Zakashefski,

56, of Marion Heights, Northumberland County, was charged by West Penn Township police with harassment on Jan. 11, 2017.

He pleaded guilty, and Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin sentenced him to time served to 12 months in jail. Zakashefski was released on immediate parole.

Christopher Schnell,

21, of Lehighton, was charged by Rush Township police with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on Aug. 20, 2018.

Domalakes dissolved a bench warrant against Schnell, and set his bail at $5,000 unsecured.

He ordered him to not change his address from 339 Centre Alley North, and to avoid drugs and alcohol and seek employment within 30 days.

Schnell is currently housed in Carbon County prison.
