Schuylkill County Court

Four people received state prison sentences as a result of Jan. 16 hearings in Schuylkill County’s Court of Common Pleas:

Keith J. Schlosser

, 36, was arrested by Mahanoy City police officer Thomas Rentschler April 19 and charged with two counts of drug possession with intent to deliver, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence and driving while operator’s privileges had been suspended. On Jan. 16, Schlosser pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver; the other charges were dropped in exchange for his guilty plea.

His state prison sentence is nine to 24 months. Schlosser was also arrested by a Rush Township police officer July 23 and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. After his release from state prison, Schlosser will be on probation for 12 months on those charges.

A Shenandoah man arrested by Tamaqua police on two successive days in 2017 has been sentenced to state prison time.

Jonathan C. Hindermyer

, 40, Shenandoah, was arrested July 21 by Tamaqua police officer Anthony Stanell and charged with use/possession of drug paraphernalia. On July 22, he was arrested by Tamaqua officer Richard Bekesy and charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of children. Hindermyer’s sentence for each endangering charge, to be served concurrently, is three to 24 months. After his release, he’ll be on probation for 12 months on the drug possession charge.

An 18-year-old Scranton man arrested by Rush Township police received a state prison sentence of two to six years for possession with intent to deliver. Kenneth Rosario

, 18, Scranton, was arrested Aug. 1, 2018, by Rush Township police officer Ryan H. Oldt. Rosario was charged with possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy, endangering the welfare of a child, corruption, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The other charges were dropped. Rosario will be on probation for 12 months.

Joseph R. Becker

, 36, Coaldale will serve from three to 24 months at a state prison. He was arrested July 8, 2017, by Coaldale police officer James Bonner, and charged with burglary, criminal trespassing, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. He was sentenced to nine to 24 months for the criminal trespass charge and must pay $1,892 to the victim. He was sentenced to three to 24 months for the theft by unlawful taking, to run concurrently. The charges of burglary and receiving stolen property were dropped.
