Schuylkill County Court

Judge Charles Miller sent two defendants to state prison and three to county prison, in decisions made Aug. 7.

Amy J. Fayock

, 38, Hazleton, was sentence to one to three years in state prison on charges of retail theft, conspiracy for retail theft and receiving stolen property. Fayock was arrested by Rush Township officer Bradley Hess on Feb. 26 and March 3, 2019. She must also pay $258 restitution to Walmart.

Richard D. Kennedy

, 34, Tamaqua, was sentenced to eight to 24 months in state prison on charges of possession of a controlled substance. Kennedy was arrested by Tamaqua Police officer Richard Weaver on March 7, 2019. Kennedy must also pay fines and costs totaling $263.

Christopher J. Serina Jr.

, 39, Tamaqua, was sentenced to time served to 12 months in county prison on charges of possession of a controlled substance. He must also pay fines and costs totaling $326.

Christine L. Oxner

, 48, Andreas, was sentenced to six to 23 months in county prison on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. She was arrested by McAdoo Police officer William Curilla on Feb. 4. She must pay $150 in costs and fines.

Samuel O. Koch

, 59, Tamaqua, was sentenced to six to 16 months in county prison on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested by Tamaqua Police officer Mike Weaver on April 14, 2016. He must pay costs and fines totaling $326. Kock was also arrested by Rush Township Police Officer Ryan Oldt on Aug. 23, 2017, for use/possession of drug paraphernalia; Miller also sentenced him to 12 months strict probation on that charge.
