Schuylkill County court

Schuylkill County judges have accepted guilty pleas from these people charged by local police. In addition to their sentences, all must pay court costs and fees.

Nancy M. Kolasensky

, 45, of Hazleton, was charged by Rush Township police with retail theft, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, and defiant trespass on March 22.

She pleaded guilty to theft and resisting, and Judge John E. Domalakes sentenced her to one to two years in state prison on the theft charge, and two years of probation on the resisting charge. Kolasensky must also pay Walmart $284.45 restitution.

Domalakes gave her credit for the 48 days she’s already served.

In a second case, Domalakes sentenced Kolasensky to one to two years in prison, to be served concurrently, on charges of retail theft and defiant trespass filed by Rush Township police on March 18.

Andrew Lacomey

, 33, of Berwick, Columbia County, was charged by Rush Township police with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and driving without a license on Jan. 29.

He pleaded guilty to the possession charges, and Domalakes sentenced him to six to 24 months in state prison on the first count, six to 12 months in prison on the second count, to be served consecutively. His sentence on the third count, six to 24 months, will be served concurrently.

Micah A. Young

, 20, of Tamaqua, was charged by borough police with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia on May 24.

He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver, and Domalakes sentenced him to nine to 23 months in jail.

Stephen Maguschak

, 28, of Beaver Meadows, was charged by Kline Township police with criminal conspiracy and retail theft on Aug. 26, 2015.

He pleaded guilty to the conspiracy charge and Domalakes sentenced him to nine to 23 months in jail and ordered him to pay $1,151.18 in restitution to Boyer’s supermarket.

Latia Nahf

, 26, of Tamaqua, was charged by Rush Township police with endangering the welfare of children and possession of drug paraphernalia on April 1.

She pleaded guilty to the endangering charge, and Domalakes sentenced her to nine to 23 months in prison, followed by three years on probation. She was given credit for 121 days already served.

Brian K. Woods

, 53, of Tamaqua, was charged by borough police in four cases.

He was charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and criminal use of a communication facility on April 19, 2017.

He pleaded guilty to the delivery charge, and Domalakes sentenced him to 11½ to 24 months in state prison, with credit for 23 days served.

Woods was charged with terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness on May 27.

He pleaded to threats, and was sentenced to 23 months on probation, to be served concurrently with his sentences in the other cases.

Woods was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, criminal use of a communication facility, and possession of a controlled substance on April 26, 2017.

He pleaded to the delivery charge, and was sentenced to 11½ to 24 months in state prison followed by two years on probation. Domalakes gave him credit for 120 days served.

Woods was charged by borough police with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness on Aug. 29, 2017.

He pleaded to disorderly conduct, and was sentenced to 12 months on state probation, to be served concurrently with his other sentences.

Allen R. Howell Jr.

, 44, of East Stroudsburg, was charged by New Philadelphia police with two counts each of aggravated assault and simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness on May 5.

He pleaded to simple assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Domalakes sentenced him to time served to 23 months on the assault charge, with credit for 97 days served, and to 12 months on probation on the resisting charge. He was fined $25 on the conduct charge.

David M. Burns Jr.

, 29, of Elton, Maryland, was charged in two cases by Kline Township police.

He was charged with obstructing administration of law and defiant trespass, and public drunkenness on June 24, 2017.

he pleaded to the trespass charge, and was sentenced by President Judge William E. Baldwin to time served to 12 months in jail, with credit for seven days served.

In the second case, he was charged by Kline Township police with resisting arrest, having false identification, trespass and possession of drug paraphernalia on April 25.

He pleaded to the resisting, trespass and possession charges, was sentenced by Baldwin to time served to 23 months on the resisting charge and to 12 months probation on the trespassing and possession charges, to be served concurrently.

Nathan W. Oldt

, 31, of Tamaqua, was charged by Walker Township police with criminal mischief on Dec. 20, 2015.

Domalakes sentenced him to 12 months on probation, and ordered him to pay $3,323.31 in restitution.

Edward J. Flaim

, 25, of Barnesville, was charged by Mahanoy City police with fleeing or eluding police, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, careless driving, duties at stop sign, failure to yield to emergency vehicle, flight to avoid identification/arrest, turning movements and required signals, failure to stop at red signal, operating a vehicle without valid inspection, speeding and failure to obey traffic control devices on March 22.

He pleaded to fleeing or eluding police, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to yield to emergency vehicle, speeding and failure to obey traffic control devices.

Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin sentenced him to three years on probation.

Terri L. Kates

, 39, of New Philadelphia, was charged by state police at Schuylkill Haven with theft of leased property and receiving stolen property on March 19.

Dolby sentenced her to 24 months on probation, to be served consecutive to a current sentence she’s serving.

He also ordered her to pay $1,473.22 in restitution.

Samuel L. Frey

, 37, of New Ringgold, was charged by Pottsville police with possession of a controlled substance on Jan. 1.

Dolbin sentenced him to three to 23 months in jail and 10 hours of community service.

Shane Kuropatsky

, 27, of Delano, was charged by state police at Frackville with simple assault, recklessly endangering the welfare of children, and harassment on Nov. 5, 2017.

He pleaded to simple assault, and Baldwin sentenced him to three years on probation.
