Schuylkill County court

Several people charged by local police have entered guilty pleas in Schuylkill County court.

Amanda L. Mooney

, 29, of Mahanoy City, was charged by McAdoo police with making false reports and public drunkenness on Sept. 10, 2017.

Judge Jacqueline L. Russell fined her $300 on the drunkenness charge; the false reports charge was dropped.

Dwight A. Andescavage

, 29, of Tamaqua, was charged by Schuylkill Township police with two counts of terroristic threats, four counts of harassment, and two counts of disorderly conduct on Jan. 1, 2017.

Russell fined him $300 on the harassment charge. The other charges were dropped.

Casey R. Snyder

, 37, of Tamaqua, was charged by Tamaqua police with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving unregistered vehicle and operating vehicle without valid inspection.

Russell sentenced him to 12 months on probation and 20 hours of community service.

A charge of driving under suspension, DUI related, was dropped.

Michael J. Atkinson

, 27, of Nesquehoning, was charged by Rush Township police with possession of a small amount of marijuana and retail theft.

Russell placed him on probation for 30 days and ordered him to perform 20 hours community service.

Charges of disorderly conduct and scattering rubbish were dropped.

Joshua S. Honey

, 21, of Tamaqua, was charged by Rush Township police with possessing instrument of crime and criminal mischief on Feb. 22, 2015.

Russell sentenced him to time served to 23 months in jail with immediate parole, and ordered him to perform 10 hours of community service and have no contact with the victims.

Charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and harassment, one of agricultural vandalism and an additional count of criminal mischief were dropped.

Noah Garcia

, 21, of Delano, was charged by Mahanoy City police with forgery and theft on Aug. 31, 2017.

Russell sentenced him to 12 months on probation, and to pay $440 in restitution.

Thomas J. Kehl

, 27, of Barnesville, was charged by Tamaqua police defiant trespass on Sept. 24, 2017.

Schuylkill County President Judge William E. Baldwin sentenced him to serve 12 months on probation.

John Middleton

, 52, of Coaldale, was charged by borough police with driving under the influence and driving under the influence while his license was suspended on May 13, 2017.

Baldwin sentenced him to 95 days to nine months in jail, fined him $1,300, and ordered him to perform 20 hours community service. Charges of failure to yield to emergency vehicle and a seat belt violation were dropped.

Probation revocations

David H. Hartranft

, 23, of Tamaqua, was charged by State police at Frackville with recklessly endangering another person and unlawful hunting on June 15, 2014, in Schuylkill Township.

He was admitted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program on Jan. 22, 2015, but lost that status on June 14, 2017, after violating the terms of the program.

Placement in ARD is not an admission of guilt.

After being removed from ARD, Hartranft pleaded guilty on Sept. 27, 2017. Judge Jacqueline L. Russell placed him on probation for 12 months and fined him $200.

But she recently revoked his probation after he admitted to violating its terms, and ordered a presentence investigation.

James R. Rodick

, 68, of Tamaqua, was charged by borough police with driving under the influence, driving under the influence at the highest rate (blood alcohol content of more than 0.16), and driving the wrong way on April 6, 2017.

Judge Jacqueline L. Russell placed him on probation for six months, ordered him to perform 10 hours of community service, and fined him $300 on the first DUI charge. The remaining charges were dropped.

ARD admissions

Schuylkill County President Judge William E. Baldwin has admitted four people charged by local police into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program. Entry is not an admission of guilt, and the offenders’ records may be cleared upon successful completion of the program.

Richard Hunsinger

, 29, of McAdoo, was charged by McAdoo police with driving under the influence on July 1, 2017.

Baldwin placed him in ARD for 12 months, and ordered Hunsinger to pay $120 in restitution to Lehigh Valley Health Network. His license was also suspended for 12 months.

Megan J. Miller

, 29, of New Tripoli, was charged by state police at Schuylkill Haven with theft by failure to make required disposition and receiving stolen property on June 25, 2016.

Baldwin admitted her into ARD for 12 months, and ordered her to pay $1,101 in restitution.

Billyann Perez

, 35, of Tamaqua, was charged by Coaldale police with possession of drug paraphernalia on July 7, 2017.

Baldwin placed her in ARD for 12 months.

Joseph Triano

, 27, of New Ringgold, was charged by Rush Township police with theft and receiving stolen property on June 10, 2014.

Baldwin placed him in ARD for 12 months.
