Schuylkill County Court

A New Ringgold man arrested while driving a mini excavator on Ridge Road, East Brunswick Township, was sentenced to time served to 23 months in Schuylkill County Prison, in a decision by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin on Sept. 5.

Barron J. Belsak

, 46, was arrested on Oct. 1, 2018, by Pennsylvania State Police troopers from the Frackville and Schuylkill Haven barracks. According to police reports, the Bobcat mini excavator had been reported stolen by Kevin E. Rarker Construction Company in Sunbury.

As Belsak drove the excavator on Ridge Road, troopers approached him from behind and in front of the excavator. The excavator made contact with the front end of the Frackville trooper’s patrol vehicle.

Belsak was charged with two counts each of aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person, and counts of criminal mischief, receiving stolen property, possessing instruments of crime, institutional vandalism and fleeing or attempting to elude police. He must pay $4,468.24 restitution to Rarker Construction and $2,241 restitution to Allianz Global, Corporate and Specialty. Belsak was given credit for 194 days served and granted immediate parole.

Kelsey A. Anderson

, 26, Coaldale, had her probation/parole revoked, in a decision by Judge John J. Domalakes on Sept. 5. Anderson was arrested by Pottsville Polie on Feb. 28, 2018, on charges of theft and receiving stolen property.

Domalakes sentenced her to serve 12-36 months in a state correctional facility, where she will receive substance abuse treatment.
